Monday, March 20th
In the morning we had breakfast with our hosts. After that we went to school and met the others. We listened to every country’s prepared presentation concerning free mobility in their region and in Europe and worked on questions for our meeting with two politicians on Wednesday. Furthermore, we tasted some school-made gelato, which was really good. In the afternoon we took the bus to the center of Bologna and ate pizza and more gelato, of course. Our first impression of Italian food: Bravissimo!!
After touring through the city we took some time to relax in a park for a little while. Also we had the chance to get to know everybody better. The boys from Italy tried to teach us some words in Italian, so we gave them some difficult German words to pronounce. We had such a fun time!
Later that day we visited the beautiful church "Basilica di San Petronio" and we also climbed up a lot of steps to get to the top of this church. The stairs were worth it, since we had an amazing view from the top.
Our first day in Bologna came to an end and we all went home. All in all we spent a great day in a week full of great days with even greater people.

Tuesday, March 21st
On Tuesday we went to Siena, a beautiful town in Tuscany.
It took us about two hours by bus to get there and when we arrived, a guide showed us around.
She showed us the cathedral, the highest part of the town and the lowest part of the town.
We also learned a lot about a horse race that takes place in Siena every year. Our tour ended in the city center where we had free time. On our way back home in the evening we had a quick stop at a beautiful castle. All in all it was truly a beautiful day.

Wednesday, March 22nd
First we met each other at Plazzo d' Accursio with Marilena Pillati. She is the Deputy Major of Bologna and told us something about the change in Youth Policy. She said that the young people have to be open-minded. Also the big and rich EU-Member States have to support the poor and they have to act more social and more European. After this discussion we took a picture.
Then we went to the museum. Furthermore we visited the oldest university in the world called “Archiginnsio“.
Afterwards we ate something at school.
Later Alessio Vaccaro came to the school. He is a part of the EU-Parliament. We could ask him questions and he answered every single one. He told us that he likes “Erasmus“ and wants to support it. Besides, he said that the EU influences other countries. He wishes that the EU doesn't stop because of problems.
Finally we had free time with our host. In this time we went bowling.

Thursday, March 23rd
On Thursday we met in Bologna city center with the other students for breakfast at a little street café. When we finished, we took the bus, to go to school. There we met the teachers. When all the teachers arrived, we went to the cinema museum of Bologna, where we first of all had a presentation about the history of the cinema in Bologna, which was quite interesting. Afterwards, another short walk took us to the Film library of Bologna. In this library around 18000 films, more than 100 professional journals, which consider movies, thousands of old video games, etc. can be found. After our walk through that library, the students went back to the city center of Bologna for a meal, which eventually was pizza again. After we finished eating, we went to the Tower of Bologna and climbed it, which was quite exhausting, because we had to take around 500 steps, but the incredible view from the top of the tower was totally worth it. We stayed on the tower for around half an hour and enjoyed the skyline of Bologna. The next place we visited was a park in Bologna, which we haven’t seen before. When we found a nice place to stay, we sat in a group with each other and talked, or played cards. In the evening, we took the bus, to meet the teachers at a restaurant to eat pizza together. It was very delicious, even though the sauce on the pizza was still quite liquid and rather a lake on pizza dough. It was again a very cool evening and we had a lot of fun.

We all met at 10am and then we walked to the “Museum of Industrial Heritage”. At 11 am we went into the museum and there, a guide showed us around. She guided us through the museum for about an hour and told us a lot about the heritage silk and its history and significance for Bologna.
After that, we split up and all of the students took a bus to the city center. We had a lot of free time this afternoon but we also did some sightseeing, e.g. we went on the roof of a church.
At around 7pm we all met again and went into an Irish pub for diner. We had a great time this evening and most of us went back home around 12pm.
